Uploading file types

You can upload files to make certain types of payments in Internet Banking for Business. The supported file formats depend on the action you want to complete. Our file format guide (PDF 185KB) gives more information about our formatting rules.

Direct debit, direct credit, and payroll payments

When collecting direct debits and making payments from a file, the file formats we support are:

• GIFTS (with either *.AFI or *.TXT file extensions).

Direct debit, direct credit, and payroll templates

When setting up payment templates, the file formats we support are:

• GIFTS (with either *.AFI or *.TXT file extensions)
• CSV (with either *.CSV or *.TXT file extensions).

International payments

When making international payments, the file formats we support are:

• *.CSV
• *.TXT
• *.DAT.

Downloading file types

For transaction reporting, the types of file formats available to download are:

• CSV
• GIFTS
• QIF.

CSV format reports

The CSV format produced from the Reports screen is different to the CSV report requested from the Transaction History screen.
