Benefits of Private Bank

We provide dedicated assistance to Active Investor Plus visa and Parent Retirement visa applicants.

Open an account from overseas

You can apply to set up your accounts while you’re overseas. Your personal bank account can be set up as a control account, keeping your nominated investment funds isolated. This can make compliance with Immigration New Zealand (INZ) simpler.

Investor Visa assistance

Our Private Bank can work with you to create customised solutions designed to meet INZ criteria. Plus, we can collate relevant documents and provide bank statements to show nominated funds receipt and transfers, to assist with INZ requirements.

Active Investor Plus visa applicants

We provide dedicated assistance to Active Investor Plus visa applicants in both the Growth and Balanced categories.

You’ll need at least:

  • NZD $5 million to apply under the Growth category
  • NZD $10 million to apply under the Balanced category.

Both an approved managed funds solution and direct investments are available through our wholesale investment options.

Custody-only services

We also offer custody-only services to our Private Bank clients. Providing you access to our WealthNet platform, we will execute transactions on your instructions. No advice or recommendations are provided as part of this service.

Parent Retirement visa applicants

We provide dedicated assistance to Parent Retirement visa applicants, including access to the Immigration Investor Series funds.

Immigration Investor Series funds

BNZ Investment Services Limited (BNZISL) issues and manages the Private Wealth Series Immigration Investor Series (PWS) funds. BNZISL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Harbour Asset Management Limited (Harbour), the underlying investment manager.

There are two Immigration Investor Series funds within PWS:

  • Immigration Investor Series NZ Equity Fund
  • Immigration Investor Series NZ Bond Fund

Wholesale investment options

The Hunter Diversified Private Credit Fund is available to wholesale investors^ through BNZ Private Bank. It is issued and managed by Harbour Asset Management Limited and is approved by Invest NZ as an ‘Acceptable Managed Fund’ for the Active Investor Plus Visa applicants.

BNZ Private Capital may also be able to provide wholesale investors with access to investment opportunities in privately owned businesses.^ These businesses are seeking additional investment, guidance, and expertise and would be accredited Invest NZ-approved Direct Investments.
