Cancelling a direct debit
If you currently pay a bill, subscription or other regular payment through direct debit, and you want to cancel that payment, you need to contact the business/organisation you’re paying – and also contact BNZ so we can cancel the authority.
You can contact us by:
- sending us a secure message in Internet Banking
- calling us on 0800 275 269, or from overseas call +64 4 473 5901 (international toll charges apply, or you can call us collect from a landline)
- visiting your nearest branch.
