Warwick Hunt

Warwick Hunt was appointed a non-executive director of BNZ in November 2022 and was appointed Chair on 1 June 2024.
Warwick is a chartered accountant and brings extensive experience in the leadership and governance of large professional services organisations. He served as Territory Senior Partner of PwC New Zealand from 2003-2009, PwC Middle-East from 2009-2013, and then Managing Partner of PwC United Kingdom and Europe Middle East Africa until 2022.
Warwick has provided advisory services to market leading organisations in the United Kingdom, Europe, Middle-East, Africa, and Australasia, working in banking, aviation, oil and gas, sovereign wealth, and agribusiness.
He is a director of Genesis Energy, a trustee of the Hargreaves Trust, sits on the Advisory Council of PwC Middle East, and is an Honorary Fellow of Kings College London.
Dan Huggins

Dan Huggins was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in October 2021. Prior to that he was BNZ’s Executive, Customer, Products & Services from March 2020, having returned home to New Zealand after 13 years overseas.
Dan has over 20 years of experience across a range of industries, including banking, retail, and manufacturing. Prior to BNZ, Dan was at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) in Sydney, where he held a number of roles including Executive General Manager of Home Buying, which was accountable for CBA’s home lending portfolio. Dan has also held roles at McKinsey & Company, Fonterra, and ASB.
Dan is a Trustee and Chair of the BNZ Foundation and Trustee of the Springboard Trust.
Godfrey Boyce

Godfrey Boyce was appointed as an independent non-executive director of BNZ in August 2024 and is Chair of the BNZ Board Audit Committee.
Godfrey is a chartered accountant who had a 39-year career with KPMG culminating in seven and a half years as Chief Executive of KPMG New Zealand. During his KPMG career Godfrey specialised in providing audit, risk management, and advisory services to the banking industry in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom. His executive and governance experience provides expertise in customer service, financial management, and organisational change.
Barbara Chapman

Barbara Chapman was appointed as an independent non-executive director of BNZ in October 2021, and is Chair of the BNZ Board People & Remuneration Committee.
Barbara has considerable bank governance and executive management experience, having previously been the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ASB Bank for approximately seven years. In that time, and in a 30-year career in banking and insurance prior to that, Barbara has gained significant experience and skills in highly-regulated and technology-disrupted industries where good customer outcomes are paramount, and society’s (and regulator) expectations are ever-increasing.
Barbara is acting Chair of Fletcher Building Limited and Fletcher Building Industries Limited, Chair of both NZME Limited and Genesis Energy Limited, and Deputy Chair of The New Zealand Initiative Limited. Previously, Barbara has been an independent director of IAG New Zealand Limited, a member of the Reserve Bank Act Independent Expert Advisory Panel, and a member of the Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Council. Barbara is also a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors NZ, a FINSIA Senior Fellow and a member of Global Women.
Nathan Goonan

Nathan was appointed as a non-executive director of BNZ on 1 November 2023.
Nathan Goonan was appointed as Group Chief Financial Officer in July 2023. Nathan joined NAB in 2004 before working in investment banking. Since re-joining NAB in 2013, Nathan has held several executive-level roles in corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions, including Group Executive Strategy and Innovation.
Emma Gray

Emma was appointed as an independent non-executive director of BNZ on 1 November 2023.
Emma is an experienced international executive with significant experience in data and customer insights. She was previously Group Executive Data and Automation at ANZ Banking Group from 2017 until 2022. Emma was responsible for leading ANZ’s strategic use of data, driving automation to improve customer experience. Through operational improvements she also reduced the time to approval for residential home loans.
Prior to joining ANZ, Emma spent three years at Woolworths where she served as Chief Loyalty and Data Officer, and head of Group Strategy. Before that she was a partner at Bain & Company, working across the United States, Europe and Australia for 15 years.
Emma is a director of Sydney Dance Company and Beamtree Holdings Limited.
Kevin Kenrick

Kevin Kenrick was appointed as an independent non-executive director of BNZ in July 2016.
He has considerable strategic transformation experience from executive leadership roles in the telecommunications, travel, and media industry sectors. Kevin was previously CEO of TVNZ for 10 years, CEO of House of Travel, and Chief Operating Officer of Telecom NZ.
Kevin is a director of Kiwi Property Group Limited and a Member of the Institute of Directors NZ.
Linley Wood

Linley Wood was appointed to the board of BNZ as an independent non-executive director in April 2020, and is Chair of the BNZ Board Risk & Compliance Committee and the Board Due Diligence Committee.
Previously a member of the ASB Executive Leadership team for 25 years, Linley accumulated wide-ranging financial services leadership experience across strategy, governance, legal and regulatory compliance, people and culture, communications, community partnerships, and end-to-end customer experience.
Linley is a director of Chubb Life Insurance New Zealand Limited, the Deputy Chair and Finance Governor for King’s School, and a Trustee on both the Melanesian Mission Trust and Auckland City Mission Foundation. Linley is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, is a member of the Institute of Directors NZ, the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and an associate member of the New Zealand Law Society.
