Setting up Google Pay

You can set up Google Pay™ using your BNZ app. You can download the BNZ app from the Google Play store. If you haven’t already registered for Internet Banking, you’ll be prompted to do so.

If you have an Apple device you can set up Apple Pay. 

When you can set up Google Pay

• Flexi Debit Visa cards: add your card before it arrives.  
• Credit cards: wait until your physical card has arrived and is activated.

How to set up Google Pay

Follow the steps below or use the downloadable guide.

1. Log in to the BNZ app. 
2. Tap the Menu icon, then tap Cards. 
3. Select the card you’d like to add and ensure that all card security options are enabled. Then tap Add to G Pay.
4. On the Add payment card screen, tap Add to wallet.
5. On the Enter your info screen, tap the pencil icon to edit your pre-populated name and address details, then tap Continue.
6. Read the terms and conditions, then tap Accept. 
7. On the next screen you can tap View in wallet to see your card in your Google wallet.
8. When on the Card list screen you’ll see G Pay has been added to the card.
