Give customers another way to pay you

With Payap, customers can pay you directly from their bank account. All they need is the Payap app on their phone. Your customers pay using a dynamic QR code generated on your existing PayClip or EFTPOS terminal.^

How Payap payments work

Step 1

Create the transaction in your EFTPOS or Point of Sale system.

Step 2

Your customer selects the Centrapay button, and a QR code comes up on your terminal.

Step 3

Your customer scans the QR code using the Payap app on their phone, and approves the transaction.

Payap pricing

The Payap in-store payment processing fee is charged at 0.39% of the value of net sales. There are no Payap monthly fixed fees.

How to set up Payap

First, you’ll need to apply for a merchant facility. If you already have one with BNZ, you should’ve received an email with set up instructions.

1. Request a merchant facility

You can apply online for an EFTPOS or PayClip merchant facility if your business is incorporated or operating in New Zealand. Complete the online form and let us know a few details about you and your business. Payap will be preloaded as a payment option.

2. Activate your terminal

If approved, we’ll send you a Letter of Offer, and Centrapay will send you an invite to access their business portal. Centrapay will then activate Payap on your terminal.

3. Start taking payments

Generate QR codes on your terminal and start accepting payments.

Centrapay

Centrapay is the digital payment network used by Payap for transactions and is supported on most EFTPOS or Point of Sale terminals in New Zealand.^ Payap merchants also get access to the Centrapay business portal for transaction reporting and administration.
