We will continue to honour BNZ issued Bank cheques and BNZ NZD travellers cheques, subject to clearance, and terms and conditions.
If you receive cheques from overseas, you can ask for telegraphic transfers (also known as wire transfers), which are international payments directly into your account. This is a faster, safer, and more secure way to receive money from overseas.

If you use cheques as part of your business, club, or trust, and need two people to authorise your payments, register for Internet Banking for Business where you can authorise and make payments online. If you need help working through your options, get in touch with your BNZ Partner or Relationship Team, or learn more about online payments through Internet Banking for Business.
By using a touch-tone phone and your nine-digit customer access number, you can make payments using telephone banking.
