How to send money overseas

Receiving money from overseas

Get overseas payments deposited directly into your BNZ bank account. The SWIFT BIC code for Bank of New Zealand is: BKNZNZ22. This should be used whenever funds are sent from overseas to BNZ bank accounts.

How sanctions affect international payments

Sanctions requirements may lead to delays in processing your payments. Make sure you’re familiar with sanctions and their impacts before doing business offshore.

We’ve suspended international payments in all currencies to Russia. This is due to global sanctions in response to the situation in Ukraine.
