Managing travel bookings

You can view and manage your existing travel bookings through the BNZ Rewards portal.

  1. Log in to Internet Banking or the BNZ app.^
  2. Select BNZ Rewards from the menu.
  3. Select Manage rewards to access the BNZ Rewards portal.
  4. From the menu, select My account, then Manage booking.

The booking policy (provided to you when you made the booking) will apply to any changes or cancellations.

If you request a cancellation, our rewards provider Ascenda will contact you via the email you used for the booking within 24 hours to confirm your cancellation and any relevant charges.

Ascenda charges a non-waivable fee to cover the processing of your cancellation or booking changes with the relevant hotel, airline, or car rental company. The following also apply:

  • all bookings are subject to additional modification or cancellation policies and charges set by the car, flight, or hotel company
  • all cancellations of bookings will include a fee of 5% of the refundable amount paid by card, if any
  • changes to flight bookings will include a fee of $50 NZD plus 5% of the refundable amount paid by card, if any
  • changes to car bookings will include a fee of $25 NZD plus 5% of the refundable amount paid by card, if any
  • changes to hotel bookings will include a fee of 5% of the refundable amount paid by card, if any.

Once the cancellation is processed and confirmed, you’ll be refunded within 10 business days. Refunds will be in cash or BNZ Points, depending on how you paid.
