Updating your tax residency status in Internet Banking

If your tax residency status changes, you can update it easily in Internet Banking.

How to edit your tax residency

  1. Log in to Internet Banking.
  2. Click Menu in the top-left corner of the main page.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Under the heading ‘Your details’, find ‘Tax Details’.
  5. By ‘Tax residency’, click Update to open the declaration.
  6. Select Yes or No to the question ‘Are you currently a tax resident of a country or jurisdiction other than New Zealand?’.
  7. Tick the box to confirm you’ve read the declaration and all details are correct, then click Submit.
  8. You’ll receive a confirmation message that your tax residency has been updated.
